Series: LGBT History Month

I'm part of a Young Persons group to do with sexuality. We are putting together a photography project to be part of the second EVER UK LGBT History Month [Lesbian, Gay, Bi, Trans] - This is one of my pieces thats going to be up in an exhibition *woo*

The idea behind this is that for many LGBT people they find that they can't be who they want to... they have to hide their real identities because society won't let them be who they are. I generally like the concept behind this, even if I say so myself!

Ah lovely concept. I think though, if all four had been in the same frame, as I thought it was before I did full view it would be better... maybe.

However, as I said i LOVE the concept, its very unique, and powerful, it says so much in such a simple composition, inspirational even.... it's inspiring ideas of something similar for class this semester. I find you have gotten the expressive aspect of this piece across pretty well.

I kind of agree actually, I took this with the intention of creating two seperate images and then when I came to actually look at them next to each other they just seemed to fit... I was going to use photoshop to merge them together so that it did infact look like it was one image, but I got lazy and stuck a line through the middle, lol.

I'm not sure if it would have worked with the different lighting.But perhaps if I get bored I will change it.

Glad that you really like this piece, and thanks for all the postive feedback on it. I quite liked the idea as it developed in my mind and then it turned out pretty well.

I think thats what really drew me into submitting this. I took the photo as a quick snap, and didn't realise how far I was out with the height of the camera, but then I saw how actually it worked out quite alright.

The meaning is important to me. Hidden Identities ... I use to have one.

The concept is gold, it works really well without being cleche or anything
